Good To Know Information
Before you depart
- Book travel to Port Canaveral
- Whether of driving or flying, be sure to arrive to the port a day or two prior to your cruise
- While it is possible to cruise using a birth certificate, having your passport will expedite your embarkation and debarkation process
- Should you need to apply for a passport, give yourself plenty of time. At the moment, the US Department of State has a processing time of 13+ weeks
- If you have any type of emergency or miss the ship, you cannot fly back without a passport
- Book picture, drink, wifi and excursion packages before trip for discounts
- If you do not already have a Crown and Anchor account created, go ahead and do so before your cruise
- Download the Royal Caribbean App.
- Make your luggage distinctive to spot it. Tie ribbons around the handle or get a fun suitcase cover / luggage tags
- Take a photo of your drivers license to have on your phone, in case you may need it
- Alert your bank that you will be traveling out of the country to avoid any issues
- Check with your phone carrier about any international fees you may incur should you use your phone while on the ship
- There are lots of great videos to watch of the ports you'll be visiting as well as the ship you'll be on. Be sure to check these out!
While on Board
- Put your phone in airplane mode as soon as you board the ship
- Complete your Muster Station drill
- Forward and Aft elevators are usually much less busy than the midship elevators.
- When you're facing the front of the ship, an easy way to remember port (left side) and starboard (right side) sides of the ship, port and left both have 4 letters.
- Do lots of pictures onboard. There is no charge unless you decide to buy.
- You can order multiple entrees in the main dining rooms. Usually one of the main dining rooms will be open for breakfast and lunch if you would like a sit down meal instead of the buffet.
- Click here to view to the dining options available on your cruise
- You can ask your cabin steward for extra pillows, towels, blankets or mattress toppers.
- If you have a good cabin steward, it is nice to tip a little extra. Make sure you hand it to them. If you just leave it in your cabin, they are not supposed to touch it.
- Make sure when onshore, you get back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. You do not want to be running for the ship at the last minute and it will NOT wait for you.
- Take the stairs on the ship if you are only doing a few floors. It is a great way to justify all the great food you will be eating.
